Even with a number of large-scale construction and development projects wrapping up in 2018, the pipeline for Greater Cincinnati looks as strong as ever.

Dozens of projects are under construction, with dozens more in pre-development. New projects and renovations of existing buildings are announced nearly every week.

The Courier looked at 20 that will reshape the region, including five that will have the largest impact in 2019. The Courier editorial team selected these projects not just by size or dollar amount but by the level of change they will bring to the region.

Uptown Gateway, spearheaded by Terrex Development and Messer Construction, is the first major redevelopment project to start after the completion of the Interstate 71/Martin Luther King interchange. It will be anchored by the University of Cincinnati’s planned digital futures building. The demolition phase started in December to make way for a March groundbreaking.
