My WEB Ventures partners and I have developed a close, collaborative relationship with Terrex. We worked closely with Tom Rowe and Peter Horton, Terrex Principals, to complete a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) for the Digital Futures Project and collaborated to implement the CBA during the development, construction, and completion of the Digital Futures Complex in Uptown Cincinnati. Tom and Peter would work with us and supported interventions necessary to stay on track with CBA objectives Because of the close collaboration with Terrex and their leadership, we exceeded all the goals of the CBA. Tom and Peter proposed innovative, “outside of the box” actions beyond the specific CBA goals to help us meet not only the specific goals of the CBA but the spirit of true economic inclusion.

Terrex has been an invaluable partner to the zoo as we have embarked on the most aggressive and ambitious capital campaign in our 150 year history. Specifically, their pre-construction team was absolutely crucial in helping us navigate the chaos of the recent few years, through the pandemic, in helping us keep our budget up to date and on track on our massive Elephant Trek Project. Terrex Construction was selected for our project because they demonstrated during the interview process that they had the resourcefulness, knowledge, and experience necessary to help us solve our project’s unique challenges. They are a small size firm that pursues modest sized projects with the management resources of much larger firms. As developers of projects that they own, they think and manage construction projects like building owners. They take into account life cycle performance, cost benefits, value engineering, and design & constructability options, among others, when managing your project. Terrex successfully completed a quality project that required a high level of collaboration within the design, construction management and ownership team to find ways to fit the owner’s program needs into the owner’s budget.

From initiation to completion, the Terrex team was a trusted advisor through the construction of our new facility. Having only been through the building process once previously, the step-by-step guidance was invaluable. It was easily the best building project I’ve been involved with at Cincinnati Country Day School.
